We can’t stay. We can see fire out the back window now. The zombies havnt come back in full force since the helicopter cleared them out. Its our best chance.

We’ve got the truck loaded up, we’ll put the girls in their carseats and go. We’re going to head north on sidestreets try to make the reservation and take that up to the rim we want to get to the cabin we can hole up there. We havnt heard from anyone. We’re going to leave this information at our house too, if you find it follow us. Were taking our phones call us. Were taking the laptop too, when we get up there ill let you know here.

wow. Just had a helicoptor clear our street out. We heard it flying then all of a sudden the machine gun started. Cut up m ost of the zombies walking aroudn. Looks pretty clear actually.

Thats the first helicopter we’ve seen in a while. It woke kyra and zoe up though. They’re have no idea what any of this means. Its hard to explain.

We keep trying the phones, but now that some of our calls go through they just ring and ring. We leave messages.

Lights are on.

Sky is orange from the fires.

Zombies in the streets now, groups of two or three. None have come up to our house.

Havn’t heard as many helicopters either.

Havn’t heard from anyone all day. Where are you?

Dear God.

From the helicopter news guy:

- Luke AFB is not accepting refugees anymore. He had the camera on it, and you can probably find those pictures if you want. To many people tried to get in. Zombies got in with them. They defended themselves. It was carnage.
- Hes not going to mention any more neighborhoods. He saw a couple get flooded with refugees and zombies made it in after he told people where to go.
- Fires all over.
- The dead are meandering around in packs tearing things up looking for people.

Theres no way to hook up with groups. We don’t have radios or cb’s. All we have is cell phones and they still don’t work. We’re stuck here.

On channel 10 the traffic helicopter pilot is broadcasting:

- Freeways are a mess. Traffic went to hell early and then was an attractor for zombies. Freeways, especially interchanges are thick with them.
- The explosions we heard earlier were probably the air force bombing congested traffic points. 101/202 was one. Nobody knows why they did it. A few other places got bombed too.
- Blackhawks are everywhere shooting anything that moves. Except cars. Cars get a pass but anything walking a chopper sees gets shot.
- Luke AFB is accepting refugees.
- Some neighborhoods are safe: In some places in the city barricades have gone up and people are defending them. He says there are quiet a few small safe pockets. He’s listing them as he sees them. He’s in west phoenix now so none near us.
- Fires all over the city.
- Nobody has any idea how it started
- President has been broadcasting messages, he’s in air force one right now
- Its happening world wide

But some places are safe! He’s circling the valley and as soon as he gets to the east valley we can figure out a good place to go. We’ll hook up with some other people. It’ll be nice to somebody to watch our backs, and more guns, and more eyes watching. Plus if we’re with groups of people it’ll be easier for the air force to get us out when they have time. We only have to hold out a few hours and then we can start getting to safety. You need to start watching and find groups in your area. Stick together adn we can survive. Its not much longer.

Crowds of zombies came through here about half an hour ago. Lots of helicopters in the air. We can hear heavy machine gun fire and some huge explosions. Coming from the northwest.

Kim actually made a joke: I think thats the first time I’ve laughed since this morning. She said: “Must be coming from fiesta mall”.

We can smell burning, but the zombie traffic has decreased. Except for our ex neighbor all the zombies in this neighbor hood are gone.

Phones still don’t work. Havn’t seen a live anchor on the news in a couple of hours. We gave kyra some baby nyquil. She’s asleep in our bed. Havn’t heard from anybody. The car was the last person we saw.

Kim just saw a car drive down our street! She says she thought it was a police car! Are they clearing this area?

Its been a few hours since our neighbor.

She finally tried to break out of the house. Went through the carport door, she couldn’t see the two that were in the carport from the house though. She got past them but it slowed her down to much, by the time she got in the car another one was over there and grabbed the door. She couldn’t get it closed. She fought but they pulled her out of the car.

Its a lot worse than watching it on youtube. The screams carry. We covered Kyra and zoe’s ears.

The zombies are still there, milling around. She’s on the ground in pool twitching around trying to move.

Stupid women! Two of them milling around her front window, two more in the yard, more coming. Banging on the window now. Shes still moving around. I think she was trying to get stuff ready to leave.

I tried to climb up on the roof and see if I could pick them off, but Kyra freaked out. Shes been good all day, but shes scared and she can tell we’re scared. She started yelling and screaming so I had to stay so she would calm down. Don’t want the zombies to hear her.

Our stupid neighbor is freaking out and running around with her windows wide open. I can see zombies (zombies??!!??) starting to take interest. How can they tell? None on our street all day, now theres two shambling down towards her house.

We’ve got the rifles out. I can crawl on the roof. I don’t want to draw attention to us.
